Woman of Honour Award

Empower 7·Wednesday, 28 March 2018

What a way to finish off International Women’s Month 2018.!
I am truly blessed and humbled to begin the month being honoured by a Local London Artist (Gillian Lawrence) who has an exhibition called “RagWorks” and chose to honour me amongst some other wonderful women. I was away so haven’t managed to see it but she also painted a gorgeous portrait of me last year honoured as a Woman Champion that proudly hung in our Hackney Library. This woman also connected me with East London Radio and has been a fantastic supporter so Thank you!

So as if that wasn’t enough to be grateful for, I then find myself in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Antigua giving a talk ON International Women’s Day at the Inspire Ur Biz Business Event headed by the lovely Vee Roberts from Insight2Marketing. What a phenomenal experience. I loved the other Speakers talk so felt like an audience member too. Speakers were from Antigua, The USA, Canada, Grenada and the UK. My talk focused on the 7 Ways to Overcome any Adversity using my EMPOWER7 (c) Method. The behind the scenes were fantastic and collaborations will be coming. Eight days of bliss, Sun, Sea, Sand and Networking. Business has never been so much fun!

As I was still on the high although the stark contrast of the London living had began I prepared for last Sunday 25th March. I had been nominated for a Divas of Colour Award in the Category of Woman of Honour. I knew about this from December and was thrilled. I then found out later in January that I had made it through to one of the five Finalists. OMG. I couldn’t believe it. I went into the usual panic us ladies do regarding clothing etc and the shops saw me buy what I needed to look decent. I still thought it was great to be in the final and as I wouldn’t win may as well not write a Speech.
Lol…..
How wrong was I? I won and Award. Unprepared I took the stage and said nothing I wanted to but was recognised for my 29 years of Service to Community. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The past year has been amazing and I feel I am reaping the benefits of my hard work so thank you Divas of Colour and especially Faustina Anyanwu Founder. Your vision and that of the team you have shined through and I am honoured to have been recognised in the same vein as MP Dawn Butler and Jenny Holt.
Women Rock and this has been my BEST International Women’s Month in my whole 46 Years. Give Thanks to everyone Past, Present and Future who have seen my Path, to the ancestors on whose shoulders we stand and the Angels, Archangels and Ascended masters who love, protect and guide us all the time.
Thanks to Mum (Linda), Sisters ( Denise and Claire), Partner (Franklin), Sons ( O and K) and close friends Talibah and Karen as well as all of my Powerhouse Business Women who have come into my life the past 3 years. Thank you for all of your support!
I AM THANKFUL
